Just going to clear something up right now - I was not running away in fear. If you grew up with my brother and sister, you would't scare easily and especially not with a bit of dark and random noises. People were scared and I was trying to get them out before people got hurt worse than they were. It was bad enough with everyone shoving and everything.

Ladies, if I were you I'd be a bit miffed at how many blokes ran out of there without their dates. That's some good old chivalry there boys. Hope you weren't Gryffindors or Godric himself would be spinning madly in his grave.

Oh and if one of you girls lost some sort of frilly... thing, it's in our dorm for safe keeping. I think it's something you wear in your hair but I really don't know these things.

So we actually need masks for this Halloween ball then? I should get my mum to send me some of my old costumes. Just the mask parts I mean, pity we can't do the whole costume. At least it'll stop my mum complaining about how she paid good money for my dress robes and I never wear them.

So it's decided - we should play rug-bee more often! Brilliant! Even more fun when you're diving into mud - it's like a giant swimming pool. Reminded me of when Gid and me used to play in the garden after it rained. I literally just missed getting detention or whipping or being hung up by ankles by Filch though. It wasn't that much mud and Dumbledore agrees!

I had the weirdest dream last night. I was playing quidditch for the Arrows and just as I caught the snitch in the most amazing dive anyone's ever done, it turned into a snake and bit me! But since I hung on until I got to the ground, they gave me an extra 100 points.

You and me then Lucy? Are people actually putting money on this? I'd have thought if I was going to be hypothetically paired with anyone, it'd be Ror or Sib (or both...) first but who knows how people's minds work.

If anyone needs nourishment after all that gossip, my mum sent biscuits and while it's perfectly possible for me and Gid to eat all of them, it might be better for my team and my broom if I don't. So come and see me if you want some!

Already looking forward to the Lions v Badgers show down! This is going to be a great game, I can feel it. Don't know about you Benjy but my instincts are on fire right now! Helps that as well as my usual training, my nephew is apparently a budding Seeker so playing with him is like another type of practice.
